Quality and dimensions work together
UploadMint first tries to keep your chosen dimensions. For ordinary-size JPG and WebP output, it searches quality settings rather than stepping down one percent at a time. Large full-resolution HEIC-to-JPG output keeps your chosen quality and stops if it cannot fit the cap. If necessary and permitted, it reduces dimensions to find a usable result.
Why PNG can be harder to compress
PNG uses lossless compression. Its browser encoder does not offer the same quality adjustment as JPG and WebP. Try a photographic PNG as JPG, or keep PNG when crisp text and transparency matter.
Your image stays with you
