Change WebP into a real JPG

Choose your WebP and leave JPG selected. Keep No fixed dimensions and No limit to preserve the original pixel dimensions. Select Prepare Image, inspect the preview and file sizes, then use Download JPG. Changing .webp to .jpg in a filename alone will not convert it.

Check transparent areas and fine detail

JPEG cannot keep transparency, so clear and partly clear areas are placed on white. JPG adds lossy compression and may be larger than the original WebP. For a transparent logo or sharp diagram, compare WebP to PNG instead.

Prepare a JPG for an upload form

If the destination specifies a maximum size, set that limit in KB or MB before processing. Add dimensions only when needed. Check the final pixels and file size together; an accepted file extension alone does not guarantee that a form will accept the image.

Your image stays with you

UploadMint processes supported images in your browser. Your image is not uploaded to a processing server, and no account is needed. Closing the page clears the working image.

Good to know

Are JPG and JPEG different formats?

They are two common extensions for the same image format. UploadMint downloads actual JPEG data with a .jpg extension.

Can I convert an animated WebP?

No. This tool accepts still images. Animated WebP is rejected rather than silently turning an animation into a single frame.
